Junior Nogueira has officially partnered with Las Tunas Cattle Co to continue to expand the international growth of the performance horse market, focusing on the development of the rope horse industry.
Nogueira—a three-time PRCA World Champion from Presidente Prudente, Sao Paolo, Brazil—has long promoted his great mare, Apache R Hali, while Las Tunas Cattle Co. was the first Mexican ranch named the AQHA’s Best International Remuda Award winner.
“I want to see the rope horse business continue to take off across the globe,” Nogueira, now of Lipan, Texas, said. “When I met Miguel, I realized how in line our goals are—he’s raising amazing horses. He’s taking the right steps—like partnering on Time To Glo—and building the best mare program possible. I am proud to be a part of it.”
Nogueira is the 2020 AQHA World Champion, the 2016 PRCA All-Around World Champion and the 2021-2022 PRCA World Champion Heeler. Las Tunas Cattle Co., in Chihuahua, Mexico, stands five stallions of their own—Metallic Play, Lobos Wind Walker, Wagon Team, San Tomas Doc and El Macario—and offers a full-scale reproduction facility. Las Tunas is also the official cattle company of the Ariat World Series of Team Roping.
“For us is extremely important to have in our team, people who are as passionate as we are in the industry, people who share our values and culture,” Elias said. “Junior for sure is the right fit for Las Tunas Team, and I’m sure great things are coming for all of us.”
